RENAY SAN MIGUEL, CNN ANCHOR: Well who hasn't heard of the Harry Potter books? Raise your hand out there if you haven't. Now there's a parody of those stories about a guy named Barry Trotter.
COSTELLO: Oh, yes. We'll let Rob Stallworth of our affiliate WPMT in York, Pennsylvania explain why one mother got the shock of her life when she bought that book for her son.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
ROB STALLWORTH, YORK, PENNSYLVANIA: Gabriella Sullivan freely admits she and her children are extreme fans of Harry Potter.
GABRIELLA SULLIVAN, PARENTS: My son was Harry Potter for Halloween. I have -- myself -- read all four books. My oldest daughter has read all four books. My son is on the third one -- my oldest son. And it trickles from there.
STALLWORTH: When she bought this book, Barry Trotter, she thought it was fun. She took it home; started reading it to her kids, and after five pages closed it. Her 7-year-old explains.
DALTON, AGE 7: Bad.
STALLWORTH: Why?
DALTON: Because it had too many swear words in it.
STALLOWORTH: Swear words, references to sex and violence, too. The Jewish Community Center sold the book during a book fair and folks there can't believe it, either.
LORIE KEITH, YORK JEWISH COMMUNITY CENTER: I think that the fact that it slipped through their radar, it slipped through out radar, it's slipping through consumer's radar. I think it's a testament to what the book looks like and how easily mistakes can be made.
STALLWORTH: If you pick up this book, you'll notice very clear similarities to the Harry Potter books on the outside. But on the inside, the words and characters tell a whole different tale.
SULLIVAN: They have ten reasons why cucumbers are better than a man. Ten reasons why beer is better than a woman. And, bastard is running through here.
KEITH: It's amazing, actually, that the book exists. Let alone found its way to our book fair. STALLWORTH: And that's why next year, make no mistake, Barry Trotter won't be making a return trip, and why parents shouldn't assume Barry Trotter is just kids stuff.
