ANDERSON COOPER, CNN ANCHOR: Well, another weekend, another round of antiwar demonstrations across the world. We check in with Rula Amin. She joins us by videophone from Amman, Jordan -- Rula.
RULA AMIN, CNN CORRESPONDENT: Anderson, I'm standing here in one Amman's upscale neighborhoods, and the demonstration behind me is just about to start. The people who are taking part in this demonstration represent different sectors of the Jordanian society. There are the Islamic fundamentals, there are the (UNINTELLIGIBLE) secular. They are all here because they oppose the war on Iraq.

Many of them say they don't see any justification for this war, and they want their governments not to cooperate with the U.S. in case there is a war.

Now, officials in Jordan says there are only a few hundred U.S. troops here in Jordan, and they are here only to defend Jordan. However, the people here in this demonstration, as well as opposition leaders, accuse the government of allowing U.S. special forces of being stationed here in order to launch offensive operations in the war in the desert when the war starts.

And those people are calling on the government not to do that, Anderson.

COOPER: Rula Amin, live in Amman, Jordan, thanks very much.
