THOMAS ROBERTS, CNN ANCHOR: We certainly are wild about Harry. You know, we've been swept away this morning by Harry-mania. The latest Harry Potter book, "The Order of the Phoenix," it is hitting bookstores today. And fans starved for the latest installment in this wildly popular adventure series have been standing in line to get their hot hands on a copy.
One of those people are Miguel Marquez. He's at a bookstore in Paramus, New Jersey, to fill us in on what those lines are looking like and what people are doing now that they can smile with the book in their hand.

Hey, Miguel.

MIGUEL MARQUEZ, CNN CORRESPONDENT: How are you there, Thomas?

Well, here is the book they are getting their hot hands all over and their hot eyes all over as well, to figure out exactly what happens in this thing.

And it's not just the book that's going on here in Paramus. This is a mall where they are selling all sorts of the merchandising stuff as well, everything, the jelly beans, the other books, Fluffy, the three headed-dog, you guys know all about this, right? The owl. You know, you you're a bad guy, Thomas, you'll get an owl from the ministry to come by and visit you. That's always a problem.

You can also get your -- you can drink coffee in your Harry Potter mug, of course, and Harry Potter CD cases, the whole bit here.

This mall -- actually, this bookstore opened at 7:00 a.m. this morning. I think we have some pictures of that from earlier the -- today. There was a rush in here at 7:00 a.m. At -- in Jersey, they don't allow stores to (UNINTELLIGIBLE) to open past midnight, so they opened up early. There was a rush to get the books in here.

There's still a pretty good crowd here in New Jersey. Nothing like what was going on in Times Square in Manhattan, this morning, absolute madness in Manhattan, lines all the way around the block in Times Square. Pretty incredible stuff in Manhattan this morning as well.

And here we're also joined still by people who are buying the book. If we can come back to us here, we have some -- What is your name.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Candy Darien (ph).

MARQUEZ: Well, how old are you?

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Eleven.

MARQUEZ: And are you a wizard in training?

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Yes.

MARQUEZ: And how -- how do you -- did you enjoy reading the book?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Yes, I love it.

MARQUEZ: Have you started already?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Yes, in the car.

MARQUEZ: How long is it going to take you to read that book?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Probably about a couple of months.

MARQUEZ: A couple months?

Most of these kids are talking about reading it pretty quickly.

Thomas, pretty exciting out here. Do you have your book yet?

ROBERTS: I don't have a book. You can bring some back. Heidi and I each want one, but don't bring us back any howlers, you know, those screaming owls. We don't want any of those.

Miguel, thanks very much.

MARQUEZ: We'll keep the owls away from you.

ROBERTS: Miguel Marquez live for us from Paramus, New Jersey.
