KRIS OSBORN, CNN ANCHOR: Going to take you back now to this hour's top stories.
The bodies of two missing U.S. soldiers have been found north of Baghdad. CNN's Chris Plante is live at the Pentagon with the latest on this. Never a good time at the Pentagon when they have casualties. Hey, Kris.
CHRIS PLANTE, CNN PENTAGON CORRESPONDENT: Hi, Kris, how are you?
That's right, the bodies of two soldiers missing since Wednesday were found this morning. The location, about 20 miles northwest of Baghdad. The two soldiers have been identified as Sergeant First Class Vladimir Philippe (ph) of Linden, New Jersey, and Private First Class Kevin Ott. Again, missing since Wednesday when they failed to respond to radio calls.
A search has been under way since then, and their bodies found today.
A lot of details still not known, circumstances of the death, we put a number of questions to the U.S. Central Command. We don't know actually at this point whether it's a result of hostile fire, whether they -- it appears they were held prisoner, whether they were abused in any way. Still hoping for additional answers later on today, Kris.
OSBORN: Chris Plante live at Pentagon, thank you very much for following the situation.
