THOMAS ROBERTS, CNN ANCHOR: Well, you know, things may be looking up, and scores may be going down at the British Open. Traditional English weather for the first two rounds kept this (UNINTELLIGIBLE) as well as frustration levels for the players. But that's beginning to change just a touch.
For more on round three at Royal St. George's, we're joined by Patrick Snell of Southeast England to tell us more about what's taking place there.

And I understand it's Nick Faldo's day, isn't it?

PATRICK SNELL, CNN CORRESPONDENT: Absolutely. Briefly a word on Nick Faldo. He certainly came out all guns blazing. He shot a 67 today. That puts him up four over par and pretty much in contention really. He's only five shots behind the leader at the moment.

But, of course, there's nearly 50,000 people on this course here today, and a good deal of them are here to see the world number one Tiger Woods who has begun his third round and Tiger just showing signs that he's starting to get right into the groove here. He's opened up round three with two pars.

So a pretty solid start for Tiger Woods. That has him at three over par for the championships. He opened up with rounds of 73 and 72. He is currently three over par for the championship, and he is about to tee off on the third hole.

Well, who is he playing catch-up with? He is off the pace at the moment, Tiger Woods. He is currently four shots behind the American Davis Love III. Now Davis Love is due to tee off in around 35 minutes' time. He is the championship leader at its halfway point, and he was the only player under par through two rounds, having shot a 69 and 72. He is currently one under par for this British Open -- Thomas.

ROBERTS: Patrick, thanks very much.

And looking like a much better day there weatherwise. That's for sure. We'll continue to talk about this throughout the day.

Patrick, thanks again.
