ELIZABETH COHEN, CNN MEDICAL CORRESPONDENT: Now here's a tip for feeling fit.
(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)
DR. SANJAY GUPTA, CNN CORRESPONDENT (voice-over): During a breath therapy session, this woman is being taught to breathe deeper, down into her diaphragm first, and then up through the lungs.
JOHN SAHAKIAN, BREATH THERAPIST: Most people breathe through their chest. The reason they do this is because they're responding to the stress in life in an unhealthy way.
GUPTA: Her therapist teaches this healthy way of breathing using verbal cues, music and light massage.
HEIDI JO COREY: I haven't, I feel like I breathed more in this past hour than I have in a week.
GUPTA: The science behind this form of therapy is scarce. But this breath therapist says that doing breath work a few minutes a day could change your life.
