STEPHEN FRAZIER, CNN ANCHOR: It's been 83 days now since the disappearance of Washington intern Chandra Levy, and police are to resume their search of area parks tomorrow. They've also been interviewing Levy's neighbors. Here's CNN's Patty Davis.

PATTY DAVIS, CNN CORRESPONDENT (voice-over): Washington, D.C. police are ready to resume searching area parks for signs of missing intern Chandra Levy. The search last week yielded no new clues.

At Levy's apartment building, this memo was slipped under residents' doors by management Friday, asking everyone to contact detectives if they haven't been interviewed. Some in the building say they are surprised police haven't been more thorough in reaching out to tenants who might be able to share anything they may have seen.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I talked to a lot of people in the pool, and none of them had been interviewed either, so we're kind of wondering what's going on.

DAVIS: One resident describes the type of questions police asked her.

CHRISTINE CHEN, RESIDENT: When I moved in, if I had been here, you know, when Chandra was here. Yeah, I think there is just a feeling that they are sort of just grasping for straws right now.

DAVIS: A front desk clerk at Levy's building says all clerks were asked by the police more than a month ago to sign affidavits about what they saw in the days leading up to Levy's disappearance May 1.

A former FBI profiler says statistics show there is little likelihood a stranger was involved.

GREGG MCCRARY, FORMER FBI PROFILER: It's more likely to be someone known to her or associated with her in that apartment building, or in some way known to her, rather than a complete random act of violence by a stranger.

DAVIS: While police have interviewed Congressman Gary Condit three times, and sources say he has told them he had an intimate relationship with the 24-year-old former Washington intern, police insist he is not a suspect.

(on camera): Nearly three months after Chandra Levy was last seen, police say her disappearance is as much a mystery now as it was then.
