STEPHEN FRAZIER, CNN ANCHOR: New information today on the material which police took from Congressman Gary Condit's Washington apartment, in the Chandra Levy investigation. Also, officers are planning to revisit Washington area parks and Chandra Levy's apartment complex this week. CNN's Patty Davis has an update.

PATTY DAVIS, CNN CORRESPONDENT (voice-over): Law enforcement sources tell CNN an analysis of materials taken from the July 10 search of Congressman Gary Condit's Washington apartment does not advance the investigation into the disappearance of Chandra Levy. One source said the analyzed material is of, quote, "no consequence."

It was another brick wall for police who say the odds of ever solving the case are now just 50/50.

CHIEF CHARLES RAMSEY, D.C. POLICE: I think I'm being very generous at 50/50, because after all this time, still not knowing for certain whether or not she met with foul play, whether or not she's just missing on her own, or whatever the situation might be, it is troubling.

DAVIS: Troubling and frustrating. "No clues, says Ramsey, "No evidence of a crime."

Police say they interviewed about 100 people; among them, Condit, who police sources say has admitted having an intimate relationship with the 24-year-old missing intern. Investigators interviewed Condit for a fourth time last week to help them develop a profile of Levy.

RAMSEY: We are going through the information that we've gotten from the fourth interview. If there is a need for additional conversation, we will have it, but right now there is no talk of that.

DAVIS: Police say they don't consider Condit or anyone else a suspect.

They plan to resume their search of Washington, D.C. parks Monday. So far, they found nothing connected to Levy. Police expect to complete the park search by the end of the week.

Levy's father says he's still hopeful she is alive. Her mother is calling for the Civil Air Patrol and the National Guard to help with the search, and says she wants to start a support group for families in her situation.

SUSAN LEVY, CHANDRA'S MOTHER: It does still feel like a continuous car wreck that doesn't stop, and there's no normalcy -- I don't know one thing from the next, what to do, and even just get up in the morning is very, very difficult.

DAVIS (on camera): Made all the more difficult by the police admission they are no closer to finding Chandra Levy now than they were three months ago.

Patty Davis, CNN, Washington.
