CAROL LIN, CNN ANCHOR: Well, Hollywood is awash in glamour today as the stars come out for the Golden Globe Award, and best dressed is CNN's Alisha Davis. She's there for the glitzy gala, and she joins us live from Hollywood. Hi, Alisha.
ALISHA DAVIS, CNN CORRESPONDENT: Hi, Carol, how are you doing. That's right, I'm here at the 59th annual Golden Globe Awards. The action is really under way now, and joining me now is John Spencer from "The West Wing." How are you doing?
JOHN SPENCER, ACTOR: Good evening. I'm doing fine. How are you?
DAVIS: Are you having a good time?
SPENCER: So far so good.
DAVIS: This is like the biggest party, right?
SPENCER: The Globes is always the best stew, it's really of all the award shows it's the best party in town, I think.
DAVIS: And now you must be really excited, your show, "The West Wing," has done very well in the past, and looking for another big night tonight we hope, right?
SPENCER: We have a lot of nominations. Brad is nominated, Allison is nominated, my president, Martin, is nominated, and the show is nominated. So I'm very excited.
DAVIS: We are very, very excited for you. Now, how many times have you been to the Golden Globes? You're an old pro at this, am I right?
SPENCER: Three. Maybe this is -- might be my seventh time, because there was "L.A. Law" four years, and then the third year of this.
DAVIS: Well, you have a great time here tonight, and we wish you and all of your colleagues the best of luck.
SPENCER: Thank you very much.
DAVIS: And of course, Golden Globes also recognize films, and leading the way on the film side is "A Beautiful Mind" with six nominations. That one stars Russell Crowe who was also up for a best actor nomination, as well as Jennifer Connelly in the best supporting actress category.
And that film is tied with "Moulin Rouge," which has six nominations as well. Nicole Kidman is leading the way. She has -- she's nominated not only for "Moulin Rouge," but she's competing against herself; she's nominated in the dramatic category for her film "The Others" as well. Nicole is having a huge year, and we wish her best of luck. We're going to find out who the winners are very, very soon -- Carol.
LIN: All right. Sounds exciting. Thanks, Alisha.
