FREDRICKA WHITFIELD, CNN ANCHOR: The Oregon City home of Ward Weaver is central to an FBI investigation and an eerie find. Are human remains found there linked to the case of two missing teens? CNN's James Hattori is there with the very latest. Hi there, James.
JAMES HATTORI, CNN CORRESPONDENT: Hi, Fredricka. The spectacle and the waiting continue here in Oregon City at the home of Ward Weaver. We have some recent aerial footage that was attained from our CNN affiliates showing some digging that is actually going on in the backyard of the home, actually forensic workers using picks and shovels to get into the dirt surrounding the house.

Earlier, you might be able to see a couple of tents that were pitched yesterday covering a shed where yesterday remains, some human remains were recovered. The other tent covering a concrete slab that is being dug up, that was being dug up today and is being sifted through as we speak as we understand it.

Of course the remains, as we've reported, have not yet been identified. It's not clear whether or not either Ashley Pond or Miranda Gaddis, the two missing 13-year-old girls who were kidnapped last January and March in separate incidents in an apartment complex right next door to Ward Weaver's home, whether or not those remains are matched up to either of those two and, of course, those families are waiting very anxiously for any kind of official word.

An FBI spokesman, spokeswoman that is, a little while ago did say that they had not found any new remains today, that the identification of those remains from yesterday had not been made, that some 40 forensic workers and investigators remain on the scene. We have seen a fair amount of coming and going of police and other officials and they promise an update as soon as there is new information but we can only presume that they are continuing to search at this point and that everyone for the meantime is left to wait and see what they come up with. Fredricka.

WHITFIELD: All right, James Hattori in Oregon City, and of course when that update takes place involving the FBI officials, we'll be taking that live.
