HEIDI COLLINS, CNN ANCHOR: Police divers are wrapping up a third day of searching the chilly waters of San Francisco Bay. They were hoping to find new clues in the Laci Peterson case. CNN's Mike Brooks is watching the search and joins us now with the very latest. Hi, Mike.
MIKE BROOKS, CNN CORRESPONDENT: Good afternoon, Heidi. For a third day, divers were back in the waters of the San Francisco Bay looking for any possible evidence in the Laci Peterson case. Just moments ago, just off of Point Isabel here where our camera position is, Heidi, the divers got out of the water and headed back into port.
They are also concentrating a search in a second location just north of Brooks Island, just off our location here, around a small point called Richmond. Point Richmond. It is over in a shipping lane where one sonar expert believes that he, back about a month ago, saw what he believed was possibly the remains of Laci Peterson, and also prosecutors think that there's a possibility that she could have been weighted down with some concrete anchors and that is what they are looking for there. So, they're back in the water for a third day. Both locations have pulled out and were headed back again. Very, very windy, Heidi, and the conditions not very good for the divers this afternoon. Heidi?
COLLINS: So then, Mike, what's coming during the week as far as the investigation is concerned?
BROOKS: Well, one source tells CNN that they expect the divers to remain here on location, looking for additional clues, possibly until next Friday. And then, the following week, on May 27, there will be another court hearing. Scott Peterson will be back in court with his defense attorney, Mark Geragos, and there will be two things that would be brought up for sure. One is bail for Scott Peterson. They are going to try to get him out on a bail. And the second is going to be - they are going to discuss whether there will be continuing media coverage of the hearings and the upcoming trial -- Heidi.
COLLINS: All right. Mike Brooks live from San Francisco Bay area. Thanks so much, Mike.
