CAROL LIN, CNN ANCHOR: The Golden Globe excitement is at a fevered pitch. And Daryn Kagan is out there in Beverly Hills with one of Hollywood's most famous moms. Hi there Daryn.
KAGAN: Absolutely Carol. We're kind of keeping this one in the family this time. I wanted to bring Troy Garity, who's nominated in for his part in best actor in a mini series, Soldiers Girl.

TROY GARITY, ACTOR: Soldiers Girl.

KAGAN: And Mom happens to be...

GARITY: The best date on earth.

KAGAN: One of the most beautiful as well, Jane Fonda.

JANE FONDA, ACTRESS: That's right.

KAGAN: But tonight you are here with Mom.

FONDA: Proud Mom yes.

KAGAN: Tell me about your part that you are nominated for.

GARITY: I'll tell you, it's a true story about Barry Winchell (ph) who was murdered in the military because he fell in love with a transsexual.

KAGAN: And what about the dynasty here? Not just Mom, but the long legacy with your grandfather as well, and your uncle, and your cousins, and...

GARITY: It's a deep well of support and experience. And I'm very lucky.

KAGAN: And how is it to be here as Mom, Jane?

FONDA: Better than anything. It's the best. And really moving to know that those genes have somehow come to roost in this guy in such an amazing way.

KAGAN: You must have done something right.

FONDA: He's really talented, yes I'm so proud.

KAGAN: What do you think about your Mom getting back in it? She's been away from acting for a while. And now it looks like she might get back in?

GARITY: Yes, I think she's happy, so I support her on all of that. I don't think that there's any material out there worthy of her character.

KAGAN: And yet, there might be something out there that we can look for you in?

FONDA: Yes, I'm going back to work, but tonight is his night.

KAGAN: Absolutely. Well Mom, congratulations. Troy Garity, good luck out there. Thanks for stopping by.

FONDA: Thank you.

KAGAN: Jane Fonda, Troy Garity, the Fonda dynasty continues here at the Golden Globes. Carol, back to you.

LIN: What a family. Thanks so much Daryn for bringing all that glitter to our program.
